Tosh Marks Property Group is a fast-growing, full-service real estate brokerage based in Manhattan. Established in 2004, TMPG quickly found its niche in the rental property market and became a household name across Manhattan.
Today, Tosh Marks is the exclusive broker for more than 81 rental buildings across Manhattan and is pleased to announce that it will now be extending its offerings to sales as well as rentals. Summer 2021 marks a turning point for the company as they open their first storefront in the iconic Upper East Side of Manhattan.
The Story
Humble Beginnings.
Tosh was raised in a small town in rural Virginia. Buckingham County - 2 restaurants, 1 stoplight, 0 movie theaters, and an infinite amount of southern charm and attitude. In 1998, shortly after graduating college, Tosh ran to New York City to follow his "one in a million" dream of becoming the greatest actor that ever crossed a New York City stage. Fast forward to 2004, after many performances with NO pay and many, many shifts tending bar until the wee hours of the morning, he got his New York Real Estate License and became an agent. Tosh began working as a salesperson at a small residential real estate firm and in two years was the company's highest grossing salesperson. He quickly transitioned into a Senior Manager role and in 2015 finally decided to start his own company.
Over the past 17 years Tosh has seen the market turn up, down, sideways and even backwards. However, the lessons he has learned and wisdom he has gained throughout have been priceless. The Manhattan real estate market will always be unique unto itself. There is no way to compare it.
True passion and dedication.
The best part about it is that within the NYC real estate market there are infinite sub-markets. What is considered hot in one neighborhood (or on one street even), may be cold in another (or sometimes just around the block). What is considered a great apartment to one person may not be so fabulous to another. Human beings also can be in love with something one minute and fall out of love just as quickly. So, in the past 17 years, one of the most valuable things Tosh has learned (aside from great patience) is how to be a guide; a counselor. It is his passion and his mission to help people navigate living in New York City and he loves what he does.
Tosh is the Exclusive Broker for a number of buildings outright, and his growing portfolio extends into numerous individual condominium and cooperative units within Manhattan. The combination of Tosh's unparalleled expertise and the attention he pays to the properties he represents and to his clients makes him a real rising star in the world of New York Real Estate.
In 2021, Tosh opened his first storefront office on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and is on the verge of opening his second on the Upper West Side. These offices will not only serve as Tosh's company's home base, but will be a fun and relaxing place for his clients, customers and any other friends from the neighborhoods to come in to chat about real estate or life or anything in between.
